Salon Updates

Nicole and Juls feel its very important to keep our clients informed and updated of what is going on inside our waxing world. Below you will find our salon policies, health updates, schedule changes, and more information to keep you in the loop.

    COVID-19
    We work very hard to make sure our salon sanitation is up to the highest standards while only using a hospital grade disinfectant to sanitize all surfaces before and after each client. We value our clients and are so grateful for the support in reopening our salon. With your help we can prevent the possibility of having to close down again in the future.

    Please read the following notes to ensure we are able to keep our salon a safe environment for all.
    • Face masks or coverings of some sort must be worn by all estheticians and clients entering the salon. 
    • Allow a few extra minutes before your appointment to ensure proper time allotment for sanitation procedures.
    • Wash your hands thoroughly as soon as you enter the salon and on your way out.
    • Come to your appointment alone (no children or significant others) and leave as many items as possible in your vehicle (purses, backpacks, laptop bags, etc.)
    • And last but not least, contactless payment methods such as Venmo, PayPal, Cash app, or Apple Pay are strongly preferred.
    If we work together, we will be able to stay open and provide everyone with the waxing services they need.  Please don’t hesitate to inquire about any of our health practices or policies. Your comfort and safety is our goal.

    No-show/cancellation policies
    As many of you know, this is our primary or only source of income. When a client no-shows or cancels their appointment, it leaves us under booked as well as under paid. The appointment spot is not available to other clients who need their waxing needs met.
    Out of respect for ourselves and other clients, as of 01/01/2019, we have decided to institute a “No-Show/Cancellation” policy.
    • A no-show consists of simply not showing up for your appointment, as well as canceling without a minimum of 3 hours notice.
    If you fail to appear at your appointment or give cancellation notice within a minimum of 3 hours, you will be charged 50% of your appointment value.
    We hope you understand our decision to enforce this policy. We are more than willing to work around your needs to ensure that there are appointments available to work best for your schedule.

    SANITIATION
    We like to think we are germaphobes.  Waxing is an intimate and vulnerable experience and we want you to feel as safe and comfortable as possible. At Salt Lake Waxing Co., we use top of the line products to ensure all surfaces are germ, microbe, and bacteria free before and after every wax. 

    We use the following products before AND after each appointment:
    • Lucasol, a hospital grade disinfectant that kills 99.9% of germs on all surfaces touched by a client. This sanitizer is known to kill viruses like COVID-19, Staph, Hep B and C, Herpes, and HIV. This is used to sanitize chairs, waxing beds, step stools, door handles, and faucets. 
    • Barbicide, another hospital grade disinfectant proven effective against HIV-1 ( the AIDS Virus ), Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C, and fungus. Barbicide complies with OSHA's bloodborne pathogens standard.  This is used to sanitize all tools used to touch your skin including tweezers, brow spoolies, scissors, brushes used to apply tints and dappen dishes.
    • Bleach, bleach is used in every single load of laundry.  Our daily laundry includes all towels (for bum, lap, and head,) washcloths, and pillow cases and aprons. 
    • Chlorox Wipes/Spray We use these wipes or sprays to wipe down all out personal items such as phones, card readers, laptops, iPads and more.
    We are constantly watching the market for updates about new disinfectant, sanitizing, and sterilizing products to ensure we can make our salon as clean as possible.

    We guarantee all of our services, from the shape you choose to leave on your Brazilian, to the color we apply to your eyebrows.
    Our most requested service is the Brazilian Wax and we do hundreds of them each month. 
    If you are unhappy with your service for ANY REASON, please let us know. We want all clients to leave our salon with nothing but positive experiences and happy faces, and we will do anything we can to make it right.
